The second part of Stephen King's IT movie adaptation is coming back to theaters on September 6, 2019, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. announced.

Gary Dauberman is working on the script and Andy Muschietti, director of the record-breaking first installment, will also make a comeback along with producers Barbara Muschietti, Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg.

IT has become the biggest R-rated horror movie ever, earning $478.1 million globally. Chapter Two will focus on members of the Losers' Club 27 years later as they've grown into troubled adults and they have to fight Pennywise once again, this time for good.

But we will still see our beloved kids in flashbacks, according to what Muschietti told Entertainment Weekly:

“On the second movie, that dialogue between timelines will be more present,” he said. “If we’re telling the story of adults, we are going to have flashbacks that take us back to the '80s and inform the story in the present day.”
